On another note. It appears if you compare the knowledge of developed country common folk today with the knowledge of the scholars in a pseudo-quantitative sense, say, x(commoners):y(scholars), and compared this number with the ratio back 400 years ago, its pretty much the same. Perhaps this decreases as the surveyed age group increases. This was considered with people between the ages of 14-29.
