MSi U160DX
I have one. Motivated to write notes up now.
BIOCHEMISTRY QUESTION.
Anabolic processes are defined as the absorption of energy to create larger molecules while catabolic processes are defined as the release of energy by breaking up larger molecules in the context of metabolism. HOWEVER, this definition contradicts chemistry which states that energy is absorbed when breaking bonds and released when making bonds. The release of energy by breaking only is applicable in nuclear reactions. Not chemical reactions. Is this due to the number of bonds forms when the large molecule breaks? Perhaps the net energy is positive due to a catalyst that reduces the activation energy?
